@Honeycomb Tires - We need these things NOW
So I recently discovered a slow leak in one of my tires and my annoyance led me to do a quick search for more durable tire technology, and I came across this:
Apparently, this stuff is already in the pipes, spearheaded by military needs, but also incredibly useful for the average consumer as well.
I would definitely pay more for tires that were not so delicate, one less area of upkeep to worry about every few years. It's a mundane sort of item, but the tire is probably one of the most advanced parts on a car in terms of the abuse it needs to take. It's time, past time, there was an advancement here. And it looks like good old fashioned non software based engineering and physics is going to help us out soon.
