Cheap replacement on T-mo. Recommendations?
Okay it's not as simple as the title implies.
The back story: My cousin and I are on a family plan on T-Mobile USA. No data because we have WiFi pretty much everywhere we go. His Blackberry (over 9000 or whatever model #) was stolen, so he had to go back to his older Blackberry Curve. I managed to get it water damaged. It works for calls and texts but WiFi is no good and it's flaky with MMS. We agreed that I can replace it with a new or used sub $200 phone that had WiFi at least. Our upgrade isn't for another year and a half or so.
Since his only experience in smartphone land is with Blackberry I figured it would be a good idea to get another one. But he also noted that he was getting tired of it and was interested in Android. What would you go with on either platform? Windows Phone recommendations are good too!
[Swappa has decent prices for used Android phones. Does anyone have any positive or negative experiences?]
