Will Windows 8 Use Gestures
Now we know that Windows 8 is built for both touch, mouse, and keyboard; but what I wonder and no one seems to have asked (however I might have missed) is about multi-touch support on track pads. Ever since PC OEMs began integrating full track pads one of the biggest complaints has been the lack of competent gesturing. Now the truth is Microsoft doesn't support gesture controls in Windows and whatever Synaptic and PC makers cobble together are basic at best.
Now while I was looking at this image of Microsoft's rules for touch on touch screen I wondered how hard it would be to see these gestures transferred to the track pad; I know people are going to say We No Wants Metro for the desktop but you're getting it and maybe including improved software can help.

Now I should also point out that Microsoft already has the Microsoft Touch Mouse with multitouch software and SDK and I wonder if that will be updated for Windows 8 and integrated.

So what do you think will Gesture support (not the one I know you're thinking about ) come to Win8?
