Midway Games may have gone bankrupt in 2009, but its vintage titles are aren't similarly exhausted — Warner Bros. has announced that a Midway Arcade app that includes ten memorable classics is now available on iOS devices for $0.99. The app includes emulations of Rampage, Spy Hunter, Root Beer Tapper, Defender, Joust, Arch Rivals, Air Hockey, Arcade Basketball, Pool, and Roll Ball. Two in-app DLC packages are also available for $0.99 each, including a "fantasy game pack" with hack-and-slash adventures including Gauntlet 1, Gauntlet 2, and Wizard of Wor, and an "action game pack" including APB, NARC, and Total Carnage. The experience might not be the same without joystick-wielding arcade cabinets, but it might be worth a buck just to take some gigantic monsters on a city-razing rumpus for old times' sake.
