Are Skullcandy headphones any good?

I'm in the market for new earbuds and I saw that Amazon sells Skullcandy ones for around 10 dollars. I was wondering, how is the quality of the sound on these? How sturdy do you think they are? And most importantly, does the cord do that silly thing that headphones do nowadays where you gotta wrap one part around the back of your neck?? (I seriously hate that nonsense)
