MWC 2012 is shaping up to be a relatively quiet show for Samsung, though true to form the company continues to roll out products — like the new Galaxy S WiFi 4.2. Sure, there's already a Galaxy S WiFi 3.6, 4.0, and 5.0, but Samsung's never let that stop it before, and now it can check 4.2 inches off its list. The 4.2's 1GHz processor, 2-megapixel rear camera, and 512MB of RAM read more like a 2009 Galaxy device than a 2012 model, though it does have the new Samsung look (likely thanks to a certain lawsuit). Its 4.2-inch IPS display, full Android Market access, and 16GB or 32GB of internal storage make it a solid media player or gaming device for those who can't get enough Where's My Water, which is exactly who this phone-without-a-phone is aimed at. There's exactly nothing surprising or groundbreaking about the new device, but for anyone looking for an Android media player, more options certainly can't hurt.
