'Starring the Computer' film database focuses on what really matters
If you're like us, you've spent a sleepless night or two wondering which computer they use to look up the bad guys' aircraft in the first season of Airwolf (Convergent Technologies Workslate), or which movies have shots of the Commodore VIC-20. Luckily, the good people at Starring the Computer have done most of the hard work for you — the site catalogs TV and movie appearances made by computers, and rates them on their importance, realism, and visibility. If you're a classic computer aficionado, consider lending a hand on STC's help page and help finger the mystery Univac featured in the original Rollerball, or the display Richard Pryor's character uses in Superman III — it's been driving us crazy.
