Breaking News: Microsoft Complains to EU about Google+
Microsoft along with other tech firms have complained to European Union about Google's social networking tool called Google+. Famously compared as Google's attempt to dethrone Facebook, Google+ is now under intense heavy scrutiny by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
The EU has expressed that it will relate near March or April the next step of action against Google .
Google has been charged with misusing Google+ to strengthen its market position as the top search engine in the world.
Microsoft declined to comment.
This comes after some growing animosity between Google and Microsoft- the fight went to such extremes that Microsoft uploaded several anti-Google videos on YouTube ( which ironically is owned by Google)
I know several people who have talked to me personally on Google+'s almost identical imitation of Facebook... of course the site does show innovation but the use of Google+ to strengthen search results for Google.com could and is being deemed worthy of a anti-trust investigation.
I guess the two companies will never be friends. It further highlights why Google apps are nearly horrible on Microsoft platforms. They just don't get along.
