Why Intel Will Kill Windows On ARM

Intel Ivy Bridge

Intel announced the technology behind the 22nm chip with it's "revolutionary" 3D tri-gate transistor technology. on paper at least, it will be faster, more efficient and more capable than any ARM system out there.

let's take a step back and see why Intel has the power to literally destroy WOA.

LEGACY IS THE KEY

Intel based tablets and notebooks will run legacy apps, which might not sound compelling, but every app that you currently have on your desktop has to be converted in order for them to work in ARM tablets, where as they will work out of the box with intel.

22nm TECHNOLOGY

Major ARM vendors, Qualcomm and Texas Instruments are on 28nm at the moment and nVidia with its quadcore cpu is on 40nm technology.

INTEGRATION IS KEY

Qualcomm is not the only company that can integrate wifi, bluetooth and cellular units into one chip, Intel can too, that's not to mention their gpu integration.

GRAPHICS

Ivy bridge will come with integrated gpu that is capable of running native DX11 games, that is a big advantage over the competition.

PRICE

This is the most important factor in this argument. Can intel keep the costs down or not. ARM's biggest advantage over intel is that it's compact, efficient and cheap.
