RIM and Microsoft
Last year, Nokia and Microsoft shocked the world with their announcement of their lucrative partnership. In the end, it made sense for both companies and it turns out they really do need each other.
So, what if RIM and Microsoft created a partnetship similar to that of "Microkia"? RIM hardware is pretty damn good and they can bring a lot to the table in terms of enterprise security and features, not to mention BBM integration in Windows Phone which would be really neat.
Personally, I think it would be great. The Nokia and BlackBerry brands are in a similar situation, neither are "dead" yet and can still sell fairly well, but are definitely fading. If Nokia can dominate the consumer end of the spectrum and BlackBerry keeps things going with business customers, if would be fantastic for Windows Phone.
I think what I'm most afraid of is Windows Phone becoming a Nokia-only OS, similar to how Symbian became synonmyous with Nokia.
