Could Microsoft Simply Be Priming Consumers For Windows 9?
So I was thinking about this the other day:
I think most of us have asked: Why doesn't Microsoft simply go full Metro and abandon the desktop? I think, this is my theory, that Microsoft is simply priming consumers for the next Windows Version. Metro is already on Windows Phone and Xbox 360. I think they might be going half and half and gauging consumer response with the Consumer Preview
Or Perhaps, this Consumer Preview is what they are using to gauge feedback and make changes in the final version.
Sidenote: Honestly, if Windows 8 is to be success, it's really up to the OEMs. Imagine a Transformer Prime with Windows 8. When you undock, it's all Metro with no desktop. When you dock, the desktop app reappears.
