Better LTE than never: The Register explains the state of British 4G
I stumbled across a great article by Liam Proven in The Register earlier today, which not only gives a great background to the competing 4G standards and the route we've taken to get here, but also explains why LTE in the UK us such a mess. It's something that I've seen brought up in comments a lot recently, and think that this goes a long way to explaining why our small island is so far behind the rest of the world in getting those enormous downlink speeds.
Well worth a read.
