The Amazon Appstore is turning one year old this week, and alongside some statistics on how the store has done so far, the company has announced that it is discounting a bunch of apps to celebrate the occasion. The deals start today with Plants vs. Zombies for Android and Kindle Fire for 99 cents (a discount of 67 percent). We don't have full details on the rest of the deals, but Amazon says that two new apps will be discounted tomorrow, followed by three the next day, and so on. Amazon has provided a list of some titles that will be included during the week of deals (reproduced below), and the company promises that each will see a discount of at least 50 percent.
