Upgrading from a first generation iPad, this is a pretty huge leap. Performance is so much better all around. The multitouch gestures to close and switch between apps have no delay, and apps load so much faster. Oh, and ohmygod that display. The display is something you need to see in real life , even if you've already seen the iPhone 4/4S. Apps, text, everything is just so silky smooth. I often see myself turning to the iPad to visit websites or check Twitter even with my desktop right in front of me, just so that I can use that beautiful display. It's that good. The cameras are now identical to those in the iPhone 4, and although it's a bit unwieldy to take pictures or video with, the results for the rear camera are pretty good. It's still just an iPad (don't expect it to cook your breakfast or project holograms), but they took an already very polished product and just polished it even further. It's an experience that is unrivaled by any other tablet.
