There a big new version of Photoshop coming with features like content-aware move, video editing, a new way of cropping, and much more. We have a full preview for you that lays out all the details, but if you absolutely must dig into the new, darker interface yourself, Adobe has made a free beta preview available for download from its labs. The download clocks in at just under 1GB and according to the company it "includes all the features in Photoshop CS6 and Photoshop CS6 Extended." You'll need to register with an Adobe ID to use the software, but there's no serial number required.
Adobe naturally mentions that it's Beta software and you're using at your own risk. To take that risk, you'll need a 2GHz or faster processor with 1GB of RAM on a PC and any "Multicore Intel processor" on Mac, with the same RAM requirement. Adobe doesn't specifically say when the beta will expire, but it's a safe bet it will be around the time that CS6 is officially released — sometime in the first half of this year.
