ME3 a different take..
Having played all the games in the ME series, I speculate that BioWare planned the fuss over the ending as a sort of misdirection, a way of distracting the audience from the real issues and changes in ME3.
what most disappointed me about ME3 is that so much of the game has been (for lack of a better word) watered down. the element of exploration has been removed, the locations trivialized,
the citadel for example is not a place to explore it is just a static set. every time you go there the exact same NPC’s are in the same places saying the same lines and the various levels are not very interesting.
the ship didn’t even get a new coat of paint and what is with every dinky mission ending in the “war room” so you have to walk thru that useless hallway every time? I am missing the point.
(there isn’t even a little ground vehicle to drive..).
Maybe my gaming tastes have changed or i have spent too much time with the Fallout series but ME3 comes out 2 years after ME2 and it is so much less in every way (minus of course the really hot gay sex..) that I am left wondering what the heck BioWare was doing for 2 years.
Sadly, i know the answer: they were minimizing costs and maximizing revenue, as any good corporation should. now i know why the Dragon Age fans were so pissed with DA2..
If BioWare really want to be raw capitalists they should let the market price the product! How much do you think ME3 is worth? I think $19.95 would be about right.
