iOS App Store serves 25 billion downloads
Apple has just delivered its 25 billionth app through the iOS App Store, and once again, one lucky person's just won a $10,000 App Store gift card. Of course, there may be no objective law that says 25 billion downloads are more noteworthy than 25 billion-plus-one downloads, but in the spirit of honoring a heap of uninterrupted zeroes to the left of the decimal, we'll concede that 25,000,000,000 does in fact contain a lot of zeroes. The milestone comes in less than three years since the App Store hit the one billion download mark, and just under four years since it initially launched on July 10th, 2008.
If you're wondering, that's an average of about 18.7 million apps downloaded every day since launch.
