When's the right time to get a Thunderbolt drive?
It's been several years since I bought my two USB 2.0 external LaCie drives. They're great for what they are, but not so speedy when compared to the new kids on the block.
I'm really quite interested in Lacie's Little Big Disk, but I'm really feeling that it's way too costly ($379 for 1TB). Furthermore, if I'm going to upgrade, I want to go SSD, and for 240GB of that it costs $899!
Any ideas on when we can expect to see Thunderbolt peripherals become a little more reasonable on the money side? I know it's the same with any new(er) technology and is a matter of time, but I don't want to be waiting a year or two before I make the upgrade.
