USB Driver Issues with Windows 8 Consumer Preview
You can call this a sequel to my previous post, since it's generally the same issue. The reason why my cursor disappeared, along with why any device I plug into the PC via USB doesn't work and disconnects the network connection, is because I didn't have compatible drivers for the USB Root Hub. It's also possible that it's related to the registry being incomplete or damaged, and so far the only remedy is System Restore. Any help is appreciated :)
