Reply and Recommendation Notifications

I apologize in advance if this topic has already been discussed/addressed but I was unable to find it with the current search system here (and on that topic, can we do something like Reddit where you limit your search to that sub-forum?).

I enjoy replying to people that have replied to one of my comments. Sometimes I find it to be a pain to go through my past comments and remember that previously there were four replies and now there's a fifth one.

I don't think I'd be alone in suggesting a simple notifications feature to show you a list of replies and recommends you've received since you last checked the notification centre. Maybe have check-boxes or a clear all button to remove the notifications after you've addressed them.
