The Future of Communication.
No this is not an advert for a really rubbish concept phone that will never see the light of day.
After listening to this weeks Mobile Podcast and hearing Vlad Savov's awesome concept of Microsoft buying HTC and making a truly epic WP7 handset and then reading Chris Ziegler's post on Twitter becoming the universal presence of the internet I have taken this to its logically conclusion.
Microsoft should buy Twitter!
No wait don't leave I have fuzzy logic.
So Microsoft already owns Skype, If they then purchase Twitter and somehow merge the two together and your Twitter handle then becomes your Skype user name you have a central universal communication portal! Voice, IM, Direct messaging all in one place.
Boom its beautiful. No more phone number, email addresses or text messages.
They could even merge the names and call it Twype or Skwitter.. Man Someone register Skwitter.com now.
Think about if Microsoft or someone then creates a global Wi-Fi network we no longer need carriers either!
With the now redundant mobile networks we could have the worlds largest LAN Party, Minecraft on a global scale.
Can I patent this idea? wheres Nilay when you need him...
Feel free to comment but please don't shatter my dream with such insignificant things like reality and or logic.
