I just got a reserved slot in the new republic wireless beta wave

I got an email saying I was pretty much guaranteed a spot in the next beta wave of republic wireless. For those unfamiliar with the company, they offer mobile phone service at an amazing price, 20 bucks a month. Also, they let you send texts and calls through wifi, the phone has dedicated software that uses wifi whenever possible to lessen your impact on their network. So you can basically do as much as you want of anything, given you have the right ratio of wifi to network usage. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone here had got in on their first beta. If so, how do you like it, how is the phone, service, etc?
