Should I get the HTC Trophy?

So my family is stuck with Verizon pretty much for life and currently the only Windows Phone available on there is the HTC Trophy. My question is, should I get it and be locked with it for 20 months and get a new Windows Phone after my renewed contract expires or should I continue to be patient and wait and see if future WP8 devices will be coming to Verizon?

Is the Trophy any good?

Will it satisfy me even after WP8 comes out?
