WP7 Notifications Idea

Hi,

A lot of people are wanting/asking for some sort of 'Notification Centre'. A lot of people think that a pull down menu (similar to iOS or Android) is best, but I think it's boring and unoriginal. I like how notifications appear at the moment at the top and you can read them and swipe them away or tap on them to do whatever. This, in my opinion, cannot be approved on. If we are not looking at our phone, certain events create a little 'pointer' on the lock screen (missed phone calls, texts, emails) so my idea is that Microsoft allow developers to create their own 'pointer' and if we miss a notification, a pointer appears in the row on the lock screen. For example, miss a Facebook notification, a little 'F' pointer appears on your lock screen.

I understand that it doesn't give you quick access to an individual email or message, but I think it's clean and allows you to quickly see what you've missed.
