Verizon details new update for Droid RAZR and RAZR Maxx
Verizon has detailed a forthcoming update to the Motorola Droid RAZR and RAZR Maxx, which adds performance, security, battery life, and stability optimizations, as well as support for IPv6 protocols. Dubbed 6.12.181.XT912.Verizon.en.US, the update will be available over the air for all subscribers "soon" and includes measures to prevent third-party access to telephony database files which house SMS and MMS data, fixes for Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity issues and a number of smaller tweaks.
