If you're still rolling with Apple's two version-old operating system and you subscribe to MobileMe, Apple's cutting you a deal. Until June 15 you can get a free copy of OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard directly from the source. Since Apple is shuttering MobileMe at the end of June, it wants to make sure it gets users of that service onto OS X 10.7 Lion, which adds support for iCloud. After signing up at the source link below, Apple will ship you a free Snow Leopard DVD. You'll still be on your own to pay for and download Lion from the Mac App Store, however. Still, Apple's effectively cutting the Leopard-to-Lion upgrade price in half (Lion is still $29.99) for MobileMe customers looking to make the switch.
