Japanese carrier KDDI has announced that it will be carrying the HTC J, an Android 4.0 device with a 4.3-inch 960 x 540 OLED display and 1.5GHz dual-core processor, that will also come packaged with a pair of Beats headphones.

A leak yesterday suggested that Japanese carrier KDDI may have a new HTC phone on the way, and today the company made it official. The HTC J ISW13HT is a WiMAX-capable device featuring a 4.3-inch 960 x 540 OLED display, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, and 16GB of storage. Available in red, white, or black, the phone also has an 8-megapixel camera, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing shooter, and will run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (overlaid with HTC's Sense 4.0, of course). In terms of specifications, the device bears more than a passing resemblance to the HTC One S, though it doesn't quite match that phone's sleek unibody design. Perhaps most interesting of all, the phone will buck HTC's recent headphone proclamation, and will come bundled with a pair of UrBeats headphones (KDDI is even offering a promotion where 500 customers will get a pair of HTC Solo headphones as well). While no pricing information is available just yet, the HTC J will go on sale this summer.
