Where are Verizon's hero devices?!?
Maybe it's just me, but Verizon really seems to be behind it's competitors with regards to device availability and offerings. I'm currently a Droid Incredible owner, and despite my contract having expired this past January, I have not yet found a compelling phone that I really wanted. (Admittedly, the gNexus comes close, but even that does not seem to have all of what I am looking for.)
Upon the MWC announcement of the HTC OneX, I was genuinely interested; it was the first phone which really met all of the criteria I was looking for, and reading the review on the Verge only clinches my desire for the device. However, AT&T gets first stab at the phone, Sprint gets a unique version in the EVO LTE, and Verizon... All they get is a the new Indredible. I really genuinely wanted to like the next generation Incredible (mine has served me quite well, and the fantastic dev community has even brought out a phenomenal set of roms - I am running ICS and my daily, now.)
Yet this next generation Droid Incredible (4G LTE) seems like such a flop, compared to the fleet of other options available. And to add insult to injury, Verizon wants to charge $300 dollars (plus that new $30 fee, they just added) for the phone.
Now I certainly understand that the GS3 is supposedly right around the corner, I just hope that it can live up to expectations and launch in a reasonable period of time.
Now that I concluded my rant, I wanted to know if anyone else out there agrees with me.
Cheers!
