Table top ipad?

Prediction:

I think Apple will release a Table top IPad. Maybe 4 times as big as normal ipad (20-24inch screen) which can be placed flat of at a slight tilt (just like how you can raise an existing ipad with it cover folded up).

It could also be wall mounted. Will have no battery and be powered from the wall just like a normal computer. Not designed to be portable.

Why:

Solves the "distance" issue for desktop/laptop users where touching the screen doesnt make sense because its too far away from you or you'll get arm fatigue. You would get the benefit of a huge work surface thats configurable to what the user needs at that time. So if your mixing a record you can get a real sized mixing desk, or editing a video can have so many more controls etc... Architect plans, CAD designers etc.. Mouse will be dead as input device after this new device get traction.

We already work by writing on a flat desk with all our paper work etc.. So this will be an extension of that.

Also could allow for multiple Ipad apps to be used at once(4 tiled etc..), without any power issues because its wall powered. This would extend Apple's play into enterprise and serious devices and redefine how "power users" use their tools.

When:

Maybe this year. Would destroy whatever MS are bringing with Win8. Strange thing is MS have Surface technology already which isnt useful to anyone really and is too expensive. Apple will, yet again, show other companies how to make things actually work in the real world!

There... I said it!
