The past week has seen a slew of rumors about the release date for the EVO 4G LTE on Sprint and they've all coalesced around one day: May 18th. Previously, we'd only had "Q2" as the official release window and May 7th as the pre-order date. However, Good and Evo has images of some of the marketing materials for the new phone along with intel on the release date that happens to match up with previous rumors from PhoneDog and Android and Me. That's a lot of corroboration, but we need just one more piece of evidence: Sprint itself making the date official. Until it does, Sprint users will have to content themselves with the knowledge that Sprint hasn't traditionally made pre-order customers wait especially long, so the rumor here seems likely to be true.
