Shadow Run hits Kickstarter
Before it became a mediocre cross-platform shooter, Shadow Run was an RPG that could best be described as Dungeons & Dragons by way of Neuromancer. Elves, dragons and dwarves coexisted in a world run by corporations, and street samurais and hackers ruled the illicit underground economy. Sure, as a premise. It's a bit contrived, but that doesn't mean it isn't an awesome mash-up for people who are into one or both of those concepts.
Anyway, Jordan Weismann, the original creator of Shadow Run, has managed to pry the rights to a new RPG, but he still needs some Kickstarter money to get it done. He plans on making a well realized RPG, set in an expansive world, and a game that will play on PCs, iPads, and Android tablets. The lowest teir is fifteen bucks and nets you a DRM-free copy of the game on PC, but if you don't mind forgoing a reward, you can of course pledge less.
