New Phone does not equal new OS, mr. Topolsky
There isn't really much to add to the amount of comments today about the Lumia 900 review, except for one thing.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, a review will always be a personal matter. What seems to be overlooked however in Joshua's review is that according to him, apparently, Microsoft should have brought an OS UPDATE with the Lumia 900.
New Phone does not equal New OS, mr. Topolsky. Microsoft was never going to bring any update to Windows Phone so why, again, rant about the OS features you like or dislike when you know in advance that it would be the same OS that came with Mango?
That's the real hypocrisy of Joshua. He should have tried some apps that Nokia brought to the table, because that was relevant news. But he didn't. He should have commented more thoroughly on the hardware/LTW/FFC use in real world scenario's.
And in the end you can give a future outlook about the required steps you see fit for Nokia or Microsoft in order to compete with iOS or android. That can be damning analysis, but at least he would have separated that view from the device itself. Instead, the guy tells us to chill - the fuck - out when people tell him that.
There goes credibility.
