iPhone water damage question
First off, I'd like to apologize in advance if this isn't the type of post that belongs in this forum.
Anyway, earlier today I was an idiot, and let my phone fall into a cup of water. There wasn't too much in the cup, but the water got up to the middle of the screen. I immediately grabbed it and turned it off, trying to shake it free of water. I now have it sitting in a bag of rice. I tried turning it on earlier, but nothing happened (I haven't plugged it into to a usb port or AC adapter since the accident). I checked, and the little sticker by the charging port is orange now; no sticker is visible in the headphone jack.
Is there anything I can do about this warranty wise? I bought it around 20 days ago, from best buy (Under AT&T). It's an iPhone 4.
If not that, then what would you recommend I do? Do I have any chance of recovering the data on my phone?
Thanks.
