NEED OF A ROUTER :)

Hi Reader, So here's my question, i live in Mexico, and frankly speaking, our internet is average not to say poor, connected to the router via ethernet cable the maximum i get is of 100,0 Mbps, which brings me to the question:

Do i, for having better speed and acess to get a better router, like the Asus RT-N66U Dark Knight Double 450Mbps N Router
or similar , to get better internet, or even if i get it , will i still have same expirience, does the speed comes from the provider not the router? Thanks A Lot :)
