Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) appears online at Office Depot, $399.99 for 8GB model
The release date for Samsung's Galaxy Tab 2 line is still up in the air — according to a Samsung spokesperson, the company needs more time to tweak TouchWiz for Ice Cream Sandwich — but we may have gotten our first insight into what the 10.1-inch variant will cost. US retailer Office Depot posted an entry for the Wi-Fi model, listing a retail price of $399.99; the price would put it on par with the cost of Apple's iPad 2. However, it should be noted that the item is also listed with 8GB of storage, which departs from the 16GB and 32GB models Samsung had originally outlined. Engadget reports that attempts to purchase the tablet were unsuccessful. The page has since been removed (though a summary listing does still appear in the retailer's "Tablets" category), so it looks like we'll have to wait a little longer for final confirmation on pricing and release dates.
