These are my very first (early) impressions. The design is beautiful to behold. The phone feels very solid and rugged without feeling bulky. I thought the controls on the side would be bothersome, but I've gotten used to them pretty quickly. I've only made a couple of brief calls, but the call clarity seems fine. I didn't fully charge it out of the box (I was anxious to use it), but I was a little worried that after about four hours it was already at less than half a charge. I'll be watching the battery life closely.

The screen is very nice. It does do very well in bright sunlight. The only troublesome thing to me is the whites, they don't appear to be very white, more like very light tan. The resolution is not a problem for me. Text looks fine. The camera is good, but there is a slight color shift.

All in all, I'm very happy with the phone.
