DESIGN:If I could give the Lumia 900 a score of 20 for design I would. It's kind of polarizing to look at and I find myself picking it up and looking at it just for the sake of picking it up. My only minor niggle is the charging port being on top as I prefer it on the bottom for docking in the car. I have the Cyan model and it's gorgeous. :DISPLAY
While the resolution isn't great on paper I find it to be pretty fantastic to look at. The colors are saturated but not to the point of inaccurate color reproduction. It's also very bright.
CAMERA:I'd put it somewhere between the iPhone 4 and 4s for still shots and that's alright by me.
RECEPTION:Excellent! It pulls in a better signal in my home where I generally get 2 bars it shows 3 or 4. Quality is crystal clear and better than other devices I've had from HTC and Samsung.
PERFORMANCE:The Lumia 900 is fast. Scrolling is very smooth and the app list letters don't get fuzzy when scrolling quickly as I've noticed on HTC WP. LTE in my area averages between 20-40mbps and pages load very quickly and have rendered very well so far. Pinch zoom is butter. I have yet to see any lag and in my experience WP rarely needs a reboot which is more than I can say for most Android devices I've had or the iPhone for that matter.
SOFTWARE:I scored this comparing to other WP and Nokia's apps give it an edge over others. Nokia Drive and Maps are great additions at no extra cost. I recommend trying out the Surfer Dude voice in Nokia Drive.
BATTERY LIFE:I get through a day easy with moderate usage. After 10 hours today I was at 59%. Very solid for LTE.
ECOSYSTEM:I love the free Skydrive storage and Zune software is far superior to iTunes in my opinion. The actual Zune music player is BY FAR the prettiest stock music player on any device I've seen. Add a Zune Pass to that and it's tough to beat. You can stream or download music to the device for offline playback.
The weakest point in the ecosystem is the Marketplace. I knew it going in as I've had a few WP devices in the past so it's not a big deal for me. 3rd parties have done a nice job of providing non official apps such as Pandora. I'd like to see an easy full backup (ala iTunes backup), but all of my contacts and Calendar are backed up with Google and that's what's most important to me.
I think most people would really enjoy the Lumia 900 if they give it a shot. I know I do.
