Great idea to fix WPs multitasking
What Josh said really got me thinking, how can we improve WPs multitasking. It really sucks right now and just does NOT work. He's right.
1. Instead of a picture of each tomb stoned app, lets just raise the bottom of the screen and show a thumbnail of the app icon in what we will call the Bottom Row. NO more jarring multitasking page, finally.
2. Move the app count from five to whatever it is you had open. Why tell us that we need to have a limit? Let us choose!
3. Lets not hold back to get our multitasking row, lets just hit the home button twice. People are already doing that so it will be magic when it just works the way they expect on WP too. Pure magic.
4. Have a way to close apps. Why would I want all those apps showing in my bottom row? Hold down on it and let me hot a red X to close it. This will make it easier to navigate the applications as I need or do not need them.
Some of you will say "Hey, that won't fix the instant resume problems!" I say to you, shut up. Shut your stupid mouth.
I spend all this time perfecting multitasking on WP and that is the thanks I get? Don't you see? Instant resume is not about how the OS multitasks, it is about how the application is codded.
How is instant resume a knock against the OS and not just the app itself?
Maybe if I knew more about tech I could answer that.
