I bought this to replace an old nano that had passed its expiry date. I was impressed by the ultra slim design (not forgetting this was 2010, when most things were still fat and ugly). the screen was beautiful too. i used it mainly to play music (with sennheiser cx300 earphones and later klipsch x10) while running. one amazing thing - one day, it slipped off the treadmill and crashed onto the floor - twice! the thing is still working fine! i expected the screen or processor to be smashed but not a scratch!

even after almost 2 years, it still stays current, looks beautiful, sounds great.
