Looking to get into cameras, need your help making a educated choice.

Hello all,

I've gotten the urge lately to get into photography. I don't really know that much but I know I want something better then my iPhone or a point and shoot. I have around 800 dollars I am willing to spend and have been looking into Sony's NEXT line, specificy the 5N. But my main concern is that I believe the NEX Line uses their own standard for lens, will my lens be useless if I ever want to upgrade bodies? And if t is a issue what camera should go after if this s a big issue.
