The people talking about how much better Trinity is going to be in ultraportables and tablets than IVB are forgetting something kinda important.
According to Anandtech in a 15 game average the A10 beats the 3720QM by about 20%. That's nice, though hardly the margin AMD's used to.
Here's the part people are skipping:
When Intel goes from 35W to 17W you give up between 8% and 16% of your max graphics clock.
When AMD goes from 35W to 17W you give up 32% of your GFX cores AND 38% of your max clock.
Since we don't have any reviews for any 17W parts from either team, we can only speculate about actual performance. By the numbers, however, I think that fans of the Red side are in for another disappointment.
