New 'Prometheus' teaser, plus a clip from our exclusive interview with screenwriter Damon Lindelof
We've received another few hints about the world of Prometheus, Ridley Scott's new sci-fi project, in the form of another viral video. Set in-world like the introduction of the David android, "Quiet Eye" focuses on Dr. Elizabeth Shaw, a member of the Prometheus crew whose combination of scientific curiosity and fanaticism looks like it will propel the mission forward. You won't get any answers in this video, but it's richly atmospheric and gives us a deeper look at one of the major characters. There are also some updates to Project Prometheus, the promotional alternative reality game.
That's not the only Prometheus news, though. In advance of our show on Thursday, we've got a clip of our exclusive interview with Damon Lindelof, the Prometheus screenwriter and co-creator of Lost. In the excerpt below, you can see Lindelof talk about the relationship he hopes to draw between Prometheus and Alien, and why he didn't want his film positioned as an Alien prequel. We'll be showing an extended version of this on Thursday the 17th, so make sure to come join us if you're in New York.
