YouTube on iOS
I was wondering if anyone knows what's up with YouTube on iOS? It seems to be the opposite of the actual YouTube site. When I search for something, I rarely get relevant results. Many times, i just end up searching for the video in Safari because YouTube's official search is better. But then I still occasionally get a "video not found" message when Safari launches the YouTube app.
I know way back in iOS 1, the disparity was blamed on the fact that YouTube had a reencode every single video in an iOS friendly format. But what's the excuse today? The web interface and YouTube apps on other platforms works fine. Does anyone know why the YouTube app on iOS is so off?
