Do you think the Windows 8 metro desktop lives up to expectations?
Microsoft yesterday unvieled the Windows 8 desktop UI for the final version. Do you think it lives up to people's expectations (and the mockups like http://www.theverge.com/2012/2/24/2822891/windows-desktop-ui-concept) and do you think it is enough for 'traditional' PC users to upgrade from Windows 7? I personally was going to update all my 'traditional' PCs to Windows 8 anyway, after using the Consumer Preview on them and having a great experience. The new metro desktop is just another reason to upgrade them. What do you think?
