Apple this week released a series of minor updates to its suite of iLife apps, bringing new stability and performance improvements to GarageBand, iMovie, and iPhoto for iOS. The company also published new versions of iTunes U (1.1.1) and Cards (1.1.2); the former now features a fix for unexpected crashes, while the latter offers a slate of new Mother's Day, birthday, and get-well card designs.

With its first update since launching alongside the new iPad in March, iPhoto for iOS now features a Copy Link button that allows users to copy the URL of any journal they're publishing to iCloud, making it easier to share their photos directly after upload. Version 1.0.1 also addresses a bug that caused some photos to be duplicated in Photos view. iMovie 1.3.1, meanwhile, enables iPad users to access the Help menu when editing a project on their tablets, and fixes a clip-spitting quirk that resulted in erroneously displayed frames. The new version of GarageBand (1.2.1) resolves a glitch users experienced when logging into SoundCloud via Facebook, and fixes an error that caused some songs to crash or disappear when being shared on iCloud.
