I cant blame anyone for looking at this phone and writing it off on paper but this doesn't do it justice because its so much more than the sum of its parts. Just the way it feels in your hand and the way the screen melts into the rest of the body is enough for me to love it. I see the iPhone 4 as the only other "premium" feeling phone around at the moment but in comparison to the Lumia 800 it feels cold, hard and a bit inhuman. The Lumia feels like a living thing where as the iPhone never feels alive or even really yours...
WP7 has been slagged off a lot and I can understand why, it doesn't fit with the PC in your palm mentality that android and to some extents ios does but the only real negative i can give it is the slow restarting of apps that you were in a few seconds before. Thats annoying but not a deal breaker because the rest of of the package seems to understand that this is a smartphone not a pc so you wont have constant popups telling you technical errors and a million sub menus like I experienced with android.
This phone makes me realize I never needed all the extras available on android and I really don't miss the pc in my palm. What I wanted was something that does what its told and connects me to the outside world without silly distractions.
