Until 7PM ET today, May 29th, productivity app WriteRoom is on sale for only $1.99 on the Mac App Store; a discount down from its regular price of $9.99. WriteRoom acts as a full screen writing environment with a focus on writing to remove the typical clutter found in modern word processors. Although it doesn't include Dropbox and iCloud sync like competitor Byword, it's fully optimized for OS X Lion, including full screen, scrollbars, autosave, and auto-resume.

There's a number of themes to pick from too, including the ability to choose your own background image, paper textures, and typing sounds. The sale is part of this week's Two Dollar Tuesday promotion alongside deals for CodeBox and Chronicle —all are available for $1.99 in the Mac App Store.
