NASA might have trouble convincing politicians to give it the support it wants in these troubled financial times, but persuading the public is a different matter — for that, the agency (and Neil deGrasse Tyson) can afford to think big. That's exactly what it's done with Pursuit of Light, a new promotional video from the Goddard Space Center that seeks to show just how worthy the universe is of exploration. The video mixes real and computer-generated footage, including some from the amazing Perpetual Ocean simulation, and intersperses scenes from the stars with some closer to home in order to remind us of what we might find out there someday.
