Okay Verizon, now I'm getting pissed off at you. . . .

Okay seriously. I know that Verizon is probably waiting for WP8 to come out/ be revealed/ they get their hands on it, whatever. But right now I'm getting seriously frustrated with those idiots working there. The original reason they said they weren't going to put more Windows Phones on their network is because none supported LTE. However, Now TWO. Not one. TWO LTE Windows Phones have been announced/released on AT&T's version of the network. It's not as if its a problem of 4G anymore, they could always reconfigure for Verizons spectrum.

So what does it no longer support?

I love windows phone. So much more than android. But it's facing a catch 22. People aren't buying the phones because they don't have very many apps. They don't have very many apps because they don't have a large user base, thus creating the cycle. Now I know there are many logistics to that situation, such as the hassle of coding for the platform compared to iOS or Android. However, that doesn't mean anything to the end consumer. Nor does it matter to the developers. If theres a large enough demand. The developers (Thinking more on the big name devs) will want to develop for WP7 to make more cash.

I am not a fan of AT&T. Never really did. Their network, as far as every place I've ever been to in the US, has never been as good as Verizon's 3G/4G service. Not only that, but as the nations largest mobile service provider, they should be carrying the latest and greatest from all the major platforms. Now lets see:

BB7: Blackberry Bold 9900 Series (Plus the latest curve and touch devices)

Android: Samsung Galaxy Nexus (Plus the entire Droid Line along with the rest of their android options)

iOS: Apple iPhone 4S (Plus the iPhone 4, both still featured prominently even though they are just two phones)

WP7: HTC Trophy. (Technically not even being sold anymore. (at least as far as retail) Basically 1st Gen Hardware, and still the first and last device.

This just makes me sick. All I want from Verizon is to release a Lumia. Maybe even with a keyboard (Ala' Nokia N900 dev device, but of course running mango instead of Meego) Is this a ridiculous request? No. Not at all. Especially when you consider how many people would love to have a windows phone. I've demonstrated my trophy and my nexus to my friends. They all pick the nexus every time, but all admit its only because of three reasons. better hardware. more apps. and 4G. all these things are easily doable by ANY of mcirosofts partners, because they are the exact same people who make the devices that destroy these windows phones.

This is merely a rant on my fristrations after hearing about the Samsung Focus 2 being released. Verizon. Get your shit together. Your'e helping ruin the chances of an honestly beautiful, fast (For 1st gen) OS by not giving it a chance.
