Sony's Xperia Ion will be launching on AT&T next month, according to a Google advertisement spied by Droid Matters. The linked product page for the LTE phone doesn't seem to make any mention of a release date or pricing, but a June launch would be in line with what we've heard from Sony previously. If it does transpire, the key question will be exactly when the Ion will get updated to Android 4.0. Its stablemate the Xperia S was hamstrung by Gingerbread upon its release, and while the Ion was announced as running the same software, Sony has already started rolling out Ice Cream Sandwich to some of its devices. Hopefully potential Ion purchasers won't have to wait too long, as the phone looks like a capable device beyond the software.
